wheel turns again

now back in india, mumbai... and how things have changed withing a dozen or so months! The steel fall witnessed in mumbai sensex in 2008 Jan, continues. If known that its an indicator for the world markets were to tumble so much, the media here would have lauded that a sign of india's strength. (but of course, i really am happy with the level of criticism that indians seem to enjoy). maybe that's an angle russel peters should explore, after saying indians are cheap, with pride!

behavior of consumers... or buyology (buy-ology) as its getting to be known is something i've always been interested in. these days doing some research in that area. its amazing to see how brands are similar to religion. such faith, so many cults, and everyone is an advisor.

but so few people seem to grasp consumer behavior, or aware of the need to understand. there's so much scope there, and it still seems in its infancy as an academic area. maybe its best that way ;)
